PM's Atlantic declaration

During his two-day visit to Washington DC in June, UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak referenced a new UK-USA Mutual Recognition Agreement for engineering. He was meeting with US President Joe Biden for US-UK trade discussions.

A Mutual Recognition Agreement is designed to help professional qualifications in areas such as engineering be more widely recognised from country to country. The UK Engineering Council and the US’ National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) are currently working on the proposals.
