Sherwin-Williams won a Queen’s Award for Enterprise for its FIRETEX® Intumescent Fire Protection Technology FX6002 coating, which delivers passive fire protection for structural steel.

Edinburgh-based architect Kettle Collective won a Queen’s Award for Enterprise for Sustainable Development for projects such as the Solar Innovation Centre at the Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park for Dubai Electricity and Water Authority. The centre, which hopes to achieve a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Platinum rating, acts as a hub to promote the sustainable energy future. Now in their 55th year, the Queen’s Awards for Enterprise are prestigious business awards that mean the winners can use the Queen’s Awards emblem for the next five years.
