The Draft Building Safety Bill now available

The Government has brought forward proposals for the Draft Building Safety Bill which aims to establish a strong chain of accountability, management, and regulation of buildings to ensure safety is maintained for residents in higher risk buildings in England.

The Draft Bill, published on 20 July 2020, is now open for pre-legislative scrutiny by parliamentarians, whilst residents and industry also have an opportunity to put forward their views on the proposed legislation.
