Massive hikes in Professional Indemnity (PI) Insurance premiums and excesses; changes to insurance terms (including additional exclusions from cover and the removal of existing extensions, such as fitness for purpose coverage); plus the increase of onerous conditions in PI Insurance are all factors that are forcing sub-contractors to turn work down or even go out of business.
