Design for the Mind
In 2018, when the British Standards Institution (BSI) published the most recent edition of its code for designing an accessible and inclusive built environment (BS 8300), the most noticeable change was its separation into two parts, covering external environments and buildings. There were some other important introductions to the standard too, including the first ever recognition of the needs of people with neuro-diverse conditions.
