At what cost
While prioritising health and safety is a moral obligation for any organisation, it also makes good business sense. Since the introduction of the sentencing guidelines for health and safety failings in February 2016, which set out to ensure it wasn’t “cheaper to offend than to take the appropriate precautions”, fines for offences have skyrocketed.
